Indian actress who has won stardom and acclaim for her performances in hit films like 2013's Paradesi and 2016's James & Alice. She is known for her ability to perform in many languages, including Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
She received her acting training at Kishore Namith Kapoor School. During this time, she was a model who appeared in advertisements for a biscuit company.
For her performance in Kaaviya Thalaivan, she was nominated for a Filmfare Award and Vijay Award for Best Actress.
She was born into an ethnic Kannadiga family.
She starred alongside Kunchacko Boban in the 2014 comedy Cousins.
