ABOUT VICTOR VASARELY
Hungarian artist who was known as the grandfather of the short-lived op art movement in the 1930s.
He majored in medical studies at Budapest University in 1925 and decided to pursue painting instead in 1927.
He worked as a graphic artist and a creative consultant at an advertising agency in Paris.
He married Claire Spinner in 1930, and they had two sons.
Janos Fadrusz was also a notable Hungarian artist.
