ABOUT VIDAL MANUEL TREVIñO
Educator and civic activist who served in the Texas House of Representatives from District 80 from 1961 to 1963.
He served in the U.S. army during the Korean War after attaining bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Texas A&I University in Kingsville.
He was the first recipient of the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from the League of United Latin American Citizens.
He lived with his wife Lucila Trevino.
He was appointed to the National Advisory Committee for the Handicapped by President Lyndon B. Johnson .
