Vincentius Sensi Potokota
ABOUT VINCENTIUS SENSI POTOKOTA
Indonesian religious leader of the Roman Catholic Church who is known for serving as the eighth archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ende from the years 2007 until 2023, and for advocating for Catholic rights in Indonesia.
He was ordained as a priest in the Archdiocese of Ende in the year 1980. He served as the first bishop of the Diocese of Maumere from the years 2006 to 2007 before becoming the archbishop in the year 2007.
He campaigned against mining and deforestation in his province because of the environmental damage.
He was born in Ende Regency, Indonesia. He died in Jakarta on November 19th, 2023.
He was honored by Joko Widodo when he paid respects to all of the Catholics of Indonesia.
