Former Portuguese soccer player who played for his native team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, as well as in the Euro 1996 and Euro 2000.

He started his professional career with F.C. Porto when he was still a teenager.

He has won two awards for Best Goalkeeper of the Year.

He was born in Afurada.

He was a goalkeeper like Jake Gleeson .
