ABOUT VIV ALBERTINE

British singer-songwriter best known as the guitarist for the influential all-girl punk rock band The Slits.

She studied textile design and fashion at the Chelsea School of Art.

She wrote and directed the 1991 film Coping with Cupid.

Her father is French and her mother is Swiss.

She was close friends with the late Joe Strummer from the seminal English punk rock band The Clash.
