ABOUT VIVIAN FRENCH
The author of the popular 1995 children's picture book Oliver's Vegetables, she is also well known for her bestselling Tiara Club chapter books.
She attended Exeter University and performed in dramatic productions staged by the National Book League.
She taught in the Edinburgh College of Art's Illustration Department.
She was born and raised in Bedfordshire, England.
She is a contemporary of fellow British children's writer Kit Wright .
