Serbian poet who lived and worked during the 20th century. He was highly influenced by the European impressionist movement. He first gained notoriety for his poetry after moving to Belgrade in 1903, where several of his works were published in magazines.
He graduated from the Gymnasium and Teacher's College in 1902.
He died in 1917 on a boat after it was struck by a German torpedo. During the First Balkan War, he was conscripted by the military as a journalist. He also served as a co-editor of Literary Week, alongside Sima Pandurovic .
He was born in Zablaće, a village near Čačak, Serbia.
He and Vasko Popa are both important Serbian poets.
