ABOUT WD SNODGRASS
Pulitzer Prize-winning poet who wrote Heart's Needle and The Boy Made of Meat. He sometimes wrote under the pen name of S.S. Gardons.
He graduated from the renowned Iowa Writers' Workshop in the early 1950s.
He published poems in The New Yorker and The Paris Review.
He grew up in Pennsylvania. He married his fourth wife, Kathleen Ann Brown, in 1985.
He was influenced by the work of Ernest Hemingway .
