Best recognized as the son of musical theatre superstars Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs .

His parents met in 1995 while in RENT on Broadway. They were married in 2003.

His father got tattoos of his childhood artwork on his arm in 2010.

A member of a musical family, his uncle Gabriel Diggs, is a DJ and his other uncle, Michael Diggs, is a musician.

His mother, Idina Menzel, began dating her RENT costar Aaron Lohr in 2015 and the two became engaged in 2016.
