ABOUT TSUNEHIKO WATASE
Japanese actor who won a Japan Academy Prize in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in the 1978 film The Incident. He received a second award for his role in The Fall of Ako Castle.
He was born in Shimane and made his film debut in the 1972 film, Wandering Ginza Butterfly.
He won a Hochi Film Award for the films The Incident, KÅtei no Inai Hachigatsu and The Fall of Ako.
His brother is actor Tetsuya Watari .
He was a fellow Japanese actor to Tadanobu Asano .
