Co-creator of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning, long-running CBS sitcom One Day at a Time . Her most prominent acting role was for the series Hazel as Dorothy Baxter.
She had several guest starring roles on television early on in Johnny Midnight, Sheriff of Cochise, and State Trooper to name a few.
She earned an Emmy nomination for her guest starring role in the series The D.A.'s Man in 1959.
She married Tom Baxter in 1940 and they had three children together. She was later married to Jack X Fields for ten years and then to Allan Manings from 1968 until 2002 when she passed away.
She guest starred on the Western series Riverboat, starring Darren McGavin .
