ABOUT WILLIAM S. PALEY
Radio pioneer who changed the U.S. forever by creating the Columbia Broadcasting System or CBS.
He earned a degree from the University of Pennsylvania before starting his first radio venture in 1927.
He also turned CBS into the leading television station of the 1960s.
He divorced Dorothy Hearst in 1947 before marrying Barbara Mortimer in the same year. He had four children.
He was portrayed by Frank Langella in the film Good Night, and Good Luck from 2005.
