South Korean actress known for the films Minari, Worst Woman, Sea Fog, and As One. She has won multiple awards, including Best Actress at the 2017 Busan Film Critics Association (BCFA) Awards for her work in A Quiet Dream.

She grew up in the South Korean resort town Jecheon.

In college, she studied traditional Korean dance and acting.

She shared an apartment with her younger sister in Seoul.

She co-starred in Minari with Steven Yeun and Will Patton .
