ABOUT YOSHIO HARADA
Over the course of his six-decade acting career, he appeared in numerous films and delivered award-winning performances in Ware ni Utsu Yoi Ari (1990), Onibi (1997), Dotsuitarunen (1989). Also a television actor, he had recurring roles on Kira Kira Kenshui, Fumo Chitai, and Shinzanmono.
He began his acting career in his mid-twenties, appearing in the film Fukushu No Uta Ga Kikoeru, and performing with a Japanese theater company called Haiyuza.
He was often cast in roles that utilized his naturally deep voice and slightly dangerous edge.
He spent his life in Tokyo, Japan and died in his early seventies of pneumonia and cancer.
In his later years, he appeared with Takako Matsu in the 2011 film Someday.
