ABOUT YU ASAKAWA
Known for her work in such Japanese television anime series as Naruto: Shippuden, Akame ga Kill!, and Ikki-Tousen, she also sang with a Japanese music group called the Hinata Girls.
Early in her career, she lent her voice to such manga-based series as Cho Mashin Eiyuden Wataru and Those Who Hunt Elves II.
She contributed vocal samples during the development phase of a singing synthesizer called the Vocaloid.
She was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Her marriage to fellow voice-over artist Showtaro Morikubo lasted from 2007 until 2009.
She and Eiichiro Oda , born just two months apart, both had successful careers in Japan as anime voice actors.
