ABOUT YU OH-SEONG

South Korean actor who rose to fame for his role in the 1997 action film Beat. His renown grew further after he starred in the 2001 neo-noir action film Friend. In the year 2022, he joined the cast of Sweet Home .

He attended Hanyang University.

His role in Beat earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 1997 Grand Bell Awards. He was named Best Actor at the 2001 Asia-Pacific Film Festival for his performance in Friend. He played villains in the 2010 historical drama Kim Su-ro, The Iron King, and the 2012 fantasy Faith, in which he played a fictionalized version of Empress Gi's older brother.

He is from Yeongwol County, South Korea.

He worked alongside Seo Kang-joon on the cast of the television series Are You Human?
