ABOUT YUKI TABATA

Japanese manga artist known for his Black Clover series. He created the one-shot Hungry Joker, which was later made into a full series. In 2011, Hungry Joker earned first place in the Golden Future Cup.

He worked as an assistant to Toshiaki Iwashiro.

In 2001, his Grave Keeper HAKAMORI received a Special Jury Prize at the Tenkaichi Manga Award. In 2003, his Blue Steady was a finalist for a Rookie Manga Award. In 2004, he entered the Tezuka Award competition where he received an honorable mention for his work, XXX WITH NO NAME.

In 2019, he and his wife welcomed a daughter. He adopted a dog named Amélie.

Manga artist Akira Toriyama was a major influence over his work.
