ABOUT ZACH STEPHENSON
Singer and guitarist who came to fame as the frontman for the surf pop band Hockey Dad, who released their debut album Boronia to much fanfare in 2016. They have toured with such acts as DZ Deathrays and Bad//Dreems.
He met his Hockey Dad bandmate Billy Fleming at just five years old. They were members of a band called Abstract Classic before they became Hockey Dad.
His band achieved overseas success by landing at number one on the U.S. radio charts in 2016.
His father sparked his love of punk rock music.
His band signed to Kanine Records, which has been home to such bands as Chairlift, led by Caroline Polachek .
