He played football at Urbana High School in Maryland, leading the team to two consecutive state titles.

He joined the NFL Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2005 but was released before the season began.

He grew up with his family in Maryland.

He played for head coach Joe Paterno at Penn State.
